TIPSS maintenance

Integrated power systems serviced as a system: rectification, distribution, conversion and backup checked together, because a fault in one shows up as a symptom in another.

Rectifier card repair

Individual rectifier modules repaired rather than the whole shelf replaced. Capacity is verified under load, not just at idle where a weak module looks healthy.

Central DC-DC converters

Converters feeding equipment at different rails, checked for regulation and ripple - ripple being the failure that quietly damages whatever it feeds.

Battery bank assessment

Cell-level condition, actual backup time against rated backup time, and which cells are dragging the string down. Most banks hold less than their nameplate long before anyone finds out.

Distribution and alarms

Fuses, MCBs, distribution wiring and the alarm contacts that are supposed to tell you when something has gone wrong and frequently do not.

Load and discharge testing

Measured discharge tests so the backup figure in your records is one that has actually been observed rather than assumed.

Can this be done without taking the site down?
Usually, on systems with redundancy - we work module by module. Where a full shutdown is unavoidable we tell you in advance and schedule it with your operations team.
Do you supply batteries as well as test them?
We assess and report. Procurement stays with you, and our report gives you the specification and the evidence for it, so you are not buying on our word alone.
How often should a bank be tested?
A capacity test annually and a visual and voltage check quarterly is the common standard. Sites with high ambient temperature need it more often.
