Telecom Repair & Maintenance

PLCC Repair & Maintenance

Component-level repair of power line carrier equipment, down to the individual part rather than the whole card.

Coupling equipment, line traps and carrier sets that utilities are told are obsolete are usually repairable. We isolate the fault, replace what has actually failed, and retune the set before it goes back on the line.

Component-level repair

We repair to the component, not the card. A failed regulator or a dry joint is replaced and the board returns to service, instead of a working card being scrapped because one part died.

Fault isolation

Systematic isolation on the bench under load, so the fault that brought the set in is the fault that gets fixed - not a symptom further down the chain.

Module restoration

Transmitter, receiver, line coupling and signalling modules restored and tested as a set, because a module that passes alone can still fail in the rack.

Frequency retuning

Carrier sets retuned to the assigned channel and verified against the line conditions they will actually see, not just against the bench.

Obsolete and end-of-life equipment

Sets whose manufacturer has exited the market or discontinued support. Where a part is genuinely unobtainable we say so rather than fitting an approximation.

Documented test results

Every unit leaves with its measured values recorded, so your team has evidence of what was done and a baseline for the next inspection.

FAQs

PLCC Repair & Maintenance, answered plainly.

Something not covered? Ask us on the contact form — a person replies, usually the one who would run the work.

Do you handle equipment the manufacturer no longer supports?
Usually yes - that is most of what comes to us. Repair is at component level, so support status matters far less than whether the failed part still exists or has a workable equivalent.
What if the unit turns out not to be repairable?
We tell you before doing further work, with the reason. You are not charged for a repair that cannot be completed.
Can you retune to a different carrier frequency?
Yes, within the hardware range of the set. We confirm the range against your assigned channel before committing to the work.
